I am a first year Ph.D. student in the Political Science department. My subfields of study are international relations and comparative politics. I have a BA in international relations, economics, and Russian from UC Davis. Some of my research interests include conflict studies, specifically the intersection between conflict and health, political institutions in Eastern Europe, and the rise of far-right parties in Eastern Europe. My undergraduate thesis focused on the 2000-2001 Ebola epidemic in Uganda in the context of the civil war there.
