Bio

Julian Haddad is a political scientist who loves teaching students how the political process shapes their world. He is particularly interested in the politics of economic redistribution and the history of political thought. Additionally, he is passionate about empowering students to overcome structural barriers via inclusive teaching methods. Julian is trained both as a scholar of comparative politics and as a political theorist.

At UCSD, he taught widely in the humanities, working as a full-time teaching assistant (TA) at the Making of the Modern World Writing program while also working with UCSD's School of Global Policy and Strategy to help prepare their incoming class of masters students to write at the graduate level. Today, he teaches discussion sections where he helps students write research papers and use basic statistical methods such as regression analysis to answer questions in political science.
