About

I am a 4th-year Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of California, Davis.

Research Focus

My research focuses on American politics as it intersects with gender, race/ethnicity, and political behavior. Specifically, I'm interested in how voters' perceptions of Black women candidates shape vote choice, candidate incentives, and policy outcomes. I am also interested in gender discrimination, sexism, and misogynoir.

Teaching

As an Associate Instructor at the University of California, Davis, I've taught the following course:

  • Introduction to American Politics, Summer 2021

Awards

  • 2018 UC Davis Provost’s Fellowships in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
