Research Focus

I'm a PhD Lecturer at UC Davis, my research focuses on the representation of nonreligious persons in the US. I also work on political polarization and vaccine hesitancy.

My research focuses on affective polarization, the underrepresentation of nonreligious persons in the US, associated biases against nonreligious persons, and vaccine hesitancy. 

I conduct survey research to examine how partisanship effects mass level interpersonal decisions. My work on how egocentric social networks affects individuals level of vaccine hesitancy has been published in American Politics Research

Prior to grad school I received my BA in political science from Case Western Reserve University.

Aside from research, I'm a Marvel movie fan, cyclist, and strategy game enthusiast.
