Bio
Jin Sol Park is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at UC Davis, specializing in political theory. Her research explores the ethical and philosophical foundations of state sovereignty, citizenship, and religious freedom. Drawing on both ancient and modern political thought, with contemporary implications for global justice, her work seeks to develop normative frameworks that address the exclusionary limits of modern secular governance.
Before joining UC Davis, she earned a B.A. in International Affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., and an M.A. in International Relations from Seoul National University, where she wrote her thesis titled Kantian Interpretation of the Limitations of a Modern Secularism.
